Spring finally showed her face and 12 cheerful hikers showed up to enjoy the day. We had a few patches of snow and a couple of freshly blown down trees to climb over, but the sun came through the moss in lime green waves. We even found a few Snow Queens along the trail.
We opted to add the Newt Loop to the hike at the end and leader's instruments claimed 9 miles. A fine day!
Pam Thomas fit right in on her first Chemek hike. Veteran hikers were: Steve Williams, Kathleen Hynes, Chris O'Brien, Martin Doerfler, Elly Collier, Beverly Hassell, Ann Hanus, Sue Engler, Karen Craven, Sumon Montri and Mary Coleman, leader.
