I'm pleased to announce that Shonee Langford has been promoted from provisional status to full alpine climb leader. The past couple years have made it difficult for pursuing this official status, but Shonee persisted and I am certain will be a fantastic addition to club leadership.
I'd like to encourage ALL the climbers out there to consider your own opportunities for climb leadership. It is a fantastic way to give back to the club, advance your individual/group skills, and promote the spirit and philosophy that the climbing group embodies.
There are five levels of climb leadership: Climb Assistant, Provisional Crag Leader, Crag Leader, Provisional Alpine Leader and Alpine Leader. You can read more about the Climb Leadership program at:
