Climbers

Glacier Peak Posting
Mike Pennington
Hey everyone,

I just posted a Glacier Peak climb for Aug 19-22. Climb is actually just 20-21 but posted with the travel days included. This climb will be a brisk and light outing covering all 33 miles and 8400’ gain/loss in two days/one night.  May even summit on the first day if team is feeling strong. If you are interested and feel you have the fitness, please read the prospectus linked in my posting and reach out to me. It is expected that you have some experience with LONG days in the mountains and that you hike briskly.

Thanks,
Mike P

Mike,

Is the term “Brisk” a technical mountaineering term? Or one used to dupe the unsuspecting non-marathon-running climbers into an arduous and epic 33 mile wear-the-skin-off-the-soles-of-my-feet kind of trip?

seems akin to "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it."

Just want to make sure people are clear on expectations!  This isn't a typical "mountaineering pace" but we are also not planning on running.  People should know if they are fast hikers that can handle long days or not.
