The Pioneer-Indian Trail up Mt. Hebo in the Coast Range winds through forest (partly logged) to the meadows on top where there may be a few flowers still in bloom. We'll hope for a clear day so we can enjoy the view which takes in much of northwestern Oregon from Haystack Rock to the Cascades. Sullivan rates this "hard," but the trail doesn't have many steep spots, so those who enjoy a medium difficulty hike with some elevation gain should do fine. Phone is a landline, so no texts please.
