Cape Lookout Trail Work
Trailkeepers will be doing maintenance on the closed North Trail to prepare for an eventual reopening.
Project Overview: We’ll focus on brushing the section of the North trail between the Cape Lookout day use area and the mid-way point just prior to the suspension bridge and the major windfall area. This area is severely overgrown and it would be a huge help in the effort to get the trail re-opened!
Hiking information: All of the necessary work is within 1 mile of the trailhead.
What to expect:
This is a 3 day event from 11/19-11/21 divided into 3 individual work parties. You can register for one or more days. Camping will be available. You should expect to participate in the day’s work party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.
Friday 11/19: noon - 4:00
Saturday 11/20: 9:30 - 3:30
Sunday 11/21: 9:30 - 3:30
