Forest Park, Portland: CANCELLED
We'll follow three trails through Forest Park. We will see Douglas fir, big leaf maple, grand fir, red alder, Western red cedar, and Western hemlock trees along with ferns, shrubs, Oregon grape and Trillium. The forest canopy, creeks, and terrain provide habitat to over 100 species of birds, 50 species of mammals, and 400 species of invertebrates. The park also contains three fish-bearing streams with resident (non-migrating) trout.
To sign up, please contact Sandra (text preferred) by noon the day before (5/23). We will find somewhere on the trail to stop for a lunch break, so bring a snack or lunch.
