Iron Mountain & Cone Peak Loop
This is one of my favorite mountain wildflower hikes because of its incredible variety of wildflowers. The hike starts in forest then passes through several open rock garden meadows. It then switchbacks up a large open meadow full of flowers. We will hike to the summit for lunch and great views of Cascade peaks to the north and south. Trail can be hot so bring plenty of water. Boots for the rocky trail and hat for the sun are recommended. Hiking poles will be useful. All participants must be vaccinated and boosted.
