Buck Mountain Trail-Silver Falls State Park

The plan is to hike the entire 8-mile Buck Mountain Trail Loop. However, there are a few very muddy spots in dry weather.  If it has been rainy prior to the hike, leader may opt for a shorter 7-mile "out and back", rather than the loop. If that's the case, we will hike to the junction with the Perimeter and Catamount Trails at about the 3.5 mile mark before returning the same route.  It will still be a gorgeous hike with about an 800' elevation gain rather than 1000'. In either case, plan to bring footwear appropriate for muddy conditions.

Hikers must be fully vaxed and boosted and if carpooling, please plan to wear masks.  Please contact the leader, preferably by email or text by noon the day prior if you have questions or would like to join the hike.
