Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

It's time to do an autumn walk on this trail which closes for the year at the end of this month.  The loop goes through a wooded area and around a wetlands where we can usually see several types of waterfowl.  This isn't an official bird walk, but you may want binoculars.  If it's a nice day, lunch on the deck of Tree's restaurant in nearby Sherwood is a possibility.  The refuge opens at 10, so this won't be a crack-of-dawn departure.  Call or email by Sept. 5 to register (no texts please).
