Miller Woods Outer Loop
Miller Woods Conservation Area is managed by Yamhill Water and Conservation and open to the public. We will meet in Salem, carpool to the Miller Wood parking lot where our hike begins by crossing a meadow under the canopy of ancient Oaks then enter a Douglas Fir forest, crossing a bridge over Berry Creek reaching a summit before winding our way back past Otter Pond and back to the car (s). Bring a lunch, water and a change of shoes as the trail can be muddy. If all agree we can stop at the Oregon Hotel on our return for a snack or/and a beverage.
