Nestucca Spit Loop Trail


Nestucca Spit Loop Hike begins at Bob Straub State Park and heads down the beach with views to Cascade Head to the north and the Nestucca Bay Mouth to the south.  At the end of the spit, it turns back and heads through Sitka Spruce and some shore pines with moss, elderberry and kinnickinnick in the understory.  

Difficulty: Medium

Pace: Moderate

Hiking Distance: 6 miles RT.

Elevation Gain: 60 feet.

Driving Distance: 116 miles RT.

HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
