About this event
Two trips to Hawk Mountain were canceled earlier in the summer, so let's go see what it looks like in the fall. The trail is up the Brietenbush Road from Detroit and just into the Mt. Hood ranger district. Our destination will be the Mt. Jeff view and the 1930's lookout cabin. Along the way, we will pass a refreshing spring. I'm always hoping for huckleberries.

Hiking Trip Ratings:
EASY: Maximum of 5 miles round trip, elevation gain less than 1000 feet
MEDIUM: 6-10 miles round trip, elevation gain 1000-2000 feet
HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous
To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
