Nob Hill and Goose Hollow Hike

This hike follows a combination of portions of 2 routes described in Laura Foster’s book "Portland City Walks". During the hike I’ll read aloud some of her descriptions of the history and highlights of this part of the city. The route takes us through the Nob Hill and Goose Hollow neighborhoods where the homes are both historic and beautiful. We’ll start off by having coffee, etc. at Zupan’s Market to fortify us for the walk on what will probably be a chilly day. At about mile 5 we’ll stop at the Elephant Deli to have lunch.  Bring money for coffee, lunch and parking. Please register with the leader by noon the day before the hike.

Difficulty: Easy-Medium; Slow pace.

Driving distance: 90 miles RT.
Hiking distance: 7 miles RT.
Elevation gain: 800 feet.
