The Knoll and God's Thumb

This recently discovered hike at the North end of Lincoln City has variety and great views of the coastline. We will start out hiking up the beach towards Gods Thumb a knob on the headland North of Roads End. The trail here can be muddy and the last pitch up the thumb is very steep. From there we will take a narrow trail to the high meadow then turn South toward the Knoll. On the return we take a wooded trail back to the cars. While not extreme in length or elevation some of the trail isn't developed and can be steep. There are also a couple of short sections on lightly traveled streets. Moderate pace.
RATED: MEDIUM, Driving dist RT 120 miles, HIKE dist 6 miles, Elev. 900 feet.
