Bay Ocean Spit
This hike is a loop hike on the bay ocean spit on Tillamook Bay. We will hike along the ocean to the jetty for lunch. The return will be on the bay side with great views of Tillamook Bay and the Coast Range. Early last century the small resort community of Bay Ocean was washed away, with no traces left today.
There are good chances to see eagles, waterfowl, and, if lucky, some elk. Crabbing should be in full swing in the sheltered area east of the jetty.
