Dog Mountain Loop

This trail offers premier wildflowers in both forest and open meadow habitats, great views of the Columbia Gorge, and a good workout. We will go up the main trail to the summit and return down the Augspurger trail to make a loop. The trail is steep; hiking poles are helpful especially if trail is muddy. Be prepared for any type of weather. Summit can be cold and windy, even on a sunny day. If forecast is for bad weather we may do a different hike.
