Clear Lake is a jewel, with calendar-worthy scenic views around every turn. The trail is very good, though with some lava on the east side. Optional side trip down to stunning Sahalie Falls adds a mile each way to the basic five mile hike.

Difficulty: Easy-Medium

Hiking distance 5-7 miles RT.
