Peavy Arboretum

The Peavy Arboretum is an OSU Forestry School experiment station near Corvallis. Some of the early road and trail work was done by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Section 36 Loop and Powder House Trails go by the foundation of the CCC dynamite storage building and hence the name.

Difficulty: Easy

Driving distance 70 miles RT.        

Hiking distance 4 miles RT.

Elevation gain 1030 feet.
