Mt. Beachie

The trail to Mt. Beachie starts on a ridgecrest path along the Opal Creek Wilderness border.  We can expect rhododendrons and views of Mt. Jefferson along the way to a viewpoint knoll on the mountain's shoulder.  I haven't led this hike before but will scout it in advance.

UPDATE:  This is a beautiful hike with great views and lots of wildflowers BUT the trail is in poor condition.  If you are uncomfortable with a narrow trail that slumps away in places, pushing through vegetation that covers the trail on some spots and climbing over or ducking under trunks across the trail, this will not be a good choice for you.  If you are up for an adventure, you'll like this one.

NOTE:  Wear long pants and bring insect repellent (mosquitos and tics).
