Lewisburg Saddle to Powder House Hike
This McDonald Forest hike out of Corvallis will use a combination of old and little-known new trails to reach the historic Powder House. This structure was used to store blasting caps away from the explosives back in the day for road building and logging in this still heavily forested area. Maybe it should be called the Blasting Caps House. After the hike, we plan to go into Corvallis to a trendy bakery.
