Salmon River Estuary Paddle

A hidden gem of the Oregon Coast, and located just three miles north of Lincoln City, the Salmon River Estuary provides a diverse kayaking experience. We'll put in at Knight Park, located on Three Rocks Road west off of Hwy 101 and head upstream through the estuary to the fresh waters of the Salmon River and if the day continues to be as marvelous as I imagine, we'll head downstream to the river’s mouth where it converges with the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, we'll see stretches of secluded beaches accessible only by boat. You are required to have an Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Program permit. Bring plenty of water, a meal, snacks, sunglasses, a hat/cap and of course a flotation device. Some kayaking experience will enhance your enjoyment.
