Killen Creek Meadows, Mt Adams Wilderness, WA

We’ll explore timberline meadows on the less-visited north side of Mt. Adams. On Friday we’ll backpack up 3 miles (gaining 1500 feet of elevation) to the Pacific Crest Trail, and set up camp for two nights. On Saturday Bill will lead an optional exploratory hike a few miles around the mountain while Janell stays in camp with those who would rather sketch or read. On Sunday we’ll hike back down to the cars. There is a Wilderness limit of 12 people. Meeting place will be the Killen Creek Trailhead on Road 2329 at 11am on Friday, August 9.
