Mt. McLoughlin Ski Descent - S1

The SE Face of McLoughlin offers over 3,000 ft of excellent ski terrain. We will start from the PCT trail head off Hwy 140, It's roughly 12 miles round trip with 4,500 ft elevation gain.

This climb will happen either March 9th or 10th depending on weather and avalanche conditions. If weather down south is bad we will have Mount Saint Helen's as a backup.

Necessary gear/skills:  Back country Ski/Snowboard set up. Avalanche rescue beacon (with knowledge of how to use it and recent practice) snow shovel, probe. Also one must be comfortable skiing/riding black diamond terrain.
