Our speaker will be: Zach Urness who has been an outdoors writer, photographer and videographer in Oregon for 11 years. He’s the outdoor editor at the Statesman Journal in Salem and a regular contributor to the Seattle Times, KGW, Oregon Public Broadcasting and many other news organizations. Zach reports on a wide array of issues, including the environment, outdoor recreation and public lands, and is the author of two books “Best Hikes with Kids: Oregon” and “Hiking Southern Oregon.” Zach’s favorite things to do in the outdoors include backpacking and whitewater kayaking, along with traveling around the state with his wife Robyn and two daughters, Lucy and Raleigh.
