Triangulation Peak and Boca Cave

On August 19, nine of us set forth to check out the look of the Jeff Wilderness one year after the Whitewater Fire. We found some green, some brown, some black and a glimmer of new "comeback" green. Five of the hikers had never been on the hike, so a trip into Boca Cave was called for. The trail down is burned and eroded and a real mess, but all declared it worth the scramble. Hikers were Mary Liepins, Sandi Simons, Peter Simons, Emily Wieczorek, Gayle Smith, Sarah Boomer, Sharon Wright, Ralph Nafziger and Mary Coleman, leader.
