Tamolich Pool

August 22, 2018. My appreciation to Karen and Nancy for putting up with two 86-year-old coots and an autism-spectrum 20-year-old (who is a good hiker). My college friend Brice, now living in Pasadena, hiked with us, and my grandson from Indianapolis was here in a family visit. It was the last day of our heat wave, and smoky, but neither of those bothered us. We spotted my car at Trailbridge Reservoir and made a seven-mile one-way hike downstream from Sahalie Falls. Sahalie Falls and Koosah Falls were awesome as usual. For some of us, Tamolich Pool -- also known as "the blue pool" -- was even more awesome, and so unexpected after we had hiked down the dry riverbed!
