This beautiful late summer day brought out a fearsome expeditionary force of 15 to visit this nice area of the Olallie Scenic Area. The lakes were a bit low, but the foliage was beginning to turn and the sky was blue and the air cool...perfect autumn kickoff.
We had 4 first time hikers: Mike Grady, Patricia McCarty, Ginger Rogg and Helmutt Rogg. Helping me keep the troops on track were veteran Chemeks: Marcia Kenagy, Ralph Nafziger, Mike Koyama, Becky Engeln, Lynnette Olesen, Becky Hickox, Kayleen Warner, Sarah Boomer, Vivienne and Scott Torgeson and Mary Coleman, leader.
