On a summer-like October day, and so dry that optimal fall color was in the past, five “aging” Chemeketans joined an “already old” leader to summit the Middle Pyramid. In spite of some haze the panorama from Mt. Hood to the Sisters was still a joyto see. Mt. Jefferson looks a bit unfamiliar without snow but hopefully won’t have to wait too long for a new coat of white. Very few hikers were seen but about a dozen mountain bikers shared the trail. We were blessed to be joined by Chemeketan member Pat Clancy from Tacoma. We can report that Pat is well and looking forward to the 2019 Outing at Lassen.
