Trappist Abbey Hike - April 20, 2019

We are grateful to Bill Sullivan for bringing this hike to our attention in 2017. We had a leisurely hike up to the ridge and he shrine, through the oak savanna and forest. Leisurely hike back down too. No rain, not cold, and a little sun, so perfect for hiking. Of the several trails, we chose a path that minimized the mud. Wildflowers included fawn lilies -- my favorite -- and a few trilliums. And YES, we enjoyed the excellent fruitcake!
