Mount Beachie Hike - June 22

Ten intrepid hikers set off on a sunny Saturday morning to tackle Mount Beachie. Trail conditions were lousy but the hike was lovely. We had great views of the mountains, a lovely display of avalanche lilies, and perfect weather. On the down side, the trail was literally obliterated for quite a bit of the way by dense huckleberry bushes. Despite missing the turn to Mount Beachie (leader's fault...) and adding an extra mile to the day (total of almost 10 miles), everyone enjoyed the trek and hailed the day a success. Hikers were Scott Torgeson, Dan Moung, Marcia Kenagy, Joan Zuber, Steve Gram, Tom Davis, Deanna Davis, Joanne Schiedler, Rachel Woods, and Vivienne Torgeson, leader.
