Two High-Mountain Lakes - July 16, 2019

Another great day on the trail – hiking roundtrip 9½ miles to Duffy and Santiam lakes, enjoying lunch looking out on Three Fingered Jack’s reflection at Santiam Lake. Partly sunny skies, cool temperatures (and, yes, we had our full complement of mosquitoes). Many bear grass still in bloom, as well as bunchberry, lupine, queen-cup, shooting stars, windflower, whole meadows of paintbrush. Hikers Martin Doerfler, Gary Forner and Jim Sellers, leader.
