South Breitenbush Gorge - Nov. 6, 2019

It was a chilly and dismal day in the valley, but we had consistent sunshine in the Breitenbush valley. We reveled in the beautiful green Oregon fall-and-winter forest (unlike Eastern forests some of us remember). There were three bridges that seemed to have been built by amateurs, whose footing was slick in the morning frost. When we got to Roaring Creek the "scenic bridge" promised by our Sullivan book was gone, but no matter; that's where we were turning around anyway. A very satisfying hike!
