Parish Lake Rd Santiam River Spur Snowshoe - January 19, 2020

Since the roads were icy, we opted to park at Parish Lake Rd and snowshoe up the spur along the Santiam River. Due to heavy snowfall, we had to crawl over, under or around several small trees bent over in the route. When that proved difficult, we went up Parish Lake Rd until we had a sunny spot with a view of Three Fingered Jack for lunch. Enjoying a sunny day in the snow were Gerda Norman, Jennifer Jenkins, Alison Roberts, Joanne Schiedler and leader Jean Gabriel.
