Dallas Birding Walk July 11, 2021

Jim Scott's report:
Eleven eager Chemeketans set off to explore the Heibert Section of the Rickreall Creek Trail System in Dallas. Swainson Thrushes, ever so elusive, dominated the deep forest riparian creek-side with their melodious song, competing with Song Sparrows, Warbling Vireos, and Western Wood-Pewees. Some 26 separate bird species were identified in an hour and half on the trail. Concluding celebration was held at the New Morning Bakery, with discussions of future birdwalks.
