Mt. Angel & Mt. Angel Abbey - September 13, 2021

On this cool and sunny September day, eight of us walked from "downtown" Mt. Angel up to and around Mt. Angel Abbey. Father Philip, a friend of Mary's, gave us a special tour of the newly-renovated guest house and its herb garden and terraces. We ate our lunches outside at tables at the Abbey Brewery, with prior permission, since the brewery is closed on Mondays. Seemingly happy walkers included guest Cindy Griswold from California, and Debby Corey, completing her second qualifier, as well as members Ralph Nafziger, Sandra Martin, Christene Bennett, Elly Collier, Mary Coleman, and leader Elizabeth Seibert.
