A companionable group of nine walkers criss-crossed the hills of the Fairmount neighborhood of Salem, going past the Governor's Mansion and the Willamette president's house. Whimsy and art abound in Fairmount, and we saw cattle and a giraffe, as well as mosaic-tile walks and other art. Guests Liz and Cameron McCarthy joined members Chris Shank, Kathleen Hynes, Chris O'Brien, Roz Shirack, Patty Baskin, Franca Hernandez, and leader Elizabeth Seibert.
