A small band of undaunted hikers slurped their way through spring mud to the hilltop shrine in the Trappist Abbey Forest. Our travails were lightened by a blue sky, Sandra's impromptu mud poems, Mary's recitation of Wordsworth, deer and birdsong and oak trees, and cheerful camaraderie. Welcome to new member Sheryl McConnell! Other hikers included Mary Coleman, Mark Ferguson, Susan Hoskins, Nadene LeCheminant (trip leader), Mary Liepins, Sandra Martin and Vicky Wilbanks.
