Bill Nelson, Margarita Nunez, Mike DeLaune, Roz Shirak, Matthew Rieke, Ken Ash and Michael Grady enjoyed each other's company in one of nature's loveliest places—the mossy, shady, soft-needled Buck Mountain Loop Trail. Trilliums and wood violets were scattered along the trail under a canopy of massive old hemlock and Douglas fir trees, and we heard bird song much of the way. There's nothing like spring in Oregon rain forests. The hike was led by Nadene LeCheminant.
