Beautiful day to reconnect with old and new friends! Four of us enjoyed a leisurely walk in this park. The ducks and Geese did a great job as the welcoming committee! Walking around the ponds we spotted a huge heron, unfortunately too far away to take his picture, we saw several turtles sunning on a log, the beavers were hiding or napping in the thick vegetation, but we saw evidence of their present by a shaved tree trunk. We walked on to the campgrounds and the roaring North Santiam then back to the cars. We stopped at the Gingerbread house for lunch and more great conversation. Members were M.
