Oregon Coast Trail via Cascade Trailhead and Lower Cascade Trail - June 14, 2022

When we started up the trail, we realized this was not going to be a good trail. The trail was very narrow and very muddy. After about 1/4 mile, we ran into a downed tree over the trail and decided to head back to the trailhead. After talking it over, we decided to hike the Lower Cascade Trail. That trail was much better, even though we did hit some muddy spots and we went up to the meadow, looked out over the ocean, and then headed back down the trail. The group of intrepid hikers were Kathleen Hynes, Chris O'Brien, Joanne Schiedler, Debra Dawes, and Rick Jorgensen led by Sandra Martin.
