A splendid time was had by a group of 6 Chemeketans in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The group hiked in from the Wallowa Lake trailhead and made base camp at 6-mile meadow. From there we did a day hike up to Glacier Pass followed by another day-hike up to the 8 lakes basin where we had nice swims in Lee Lake and Horseshoe Lake. A final push to the top if the Matterhorn was scrubbed this time since one hiker wasn't feeling well and several of us weren't sure we were up for the climb. Participants included Ray Drapek, Kim Drapek, Deb Sturdevant, Dana Field, Yelena Spivak, and Jacques Thibodeaux.
