High temperatures and little air movement made this hike a bit more demanding than usual, but the flowers and the views made it all worthwhile! Lots of Cascade lilies and Oregon Sunshine mixed with some remaining gilia, penstemon, columbine and other high meadow favorites. Some trail maintenance volunteers made our return leg easier with the removal of several downed trees crossing the path. Hikers included Steve Engler, Nadene LeCheminant, Joanne Schiedler and leader Mady Kimmich.
