We had a perfect cool, clear morning for our four-mile walk on the trails of the Luckiamute State Landing Natural Area south of Independence. The trail ends near the convergence of the Santiam, Luckiamute and Willamette Rivers. This area was new to everyone on the hike except, fortunately, the leader. Guest Tracy White joined members Pamela Ewing, Jean Hutchinson, Frank Benford, Ivan Hoyt, Mark Ferguson and leader Elizabeth Seibert.
