Buck Mountain Hike

When we pulled into the Howard Creek trailhead parking lot, we were shocked to find the parking lot full, and we were lucky to find a parking spot. Little did we know the Buck Mt. Mudslinger Trail Run was going on, involving about 100 runners! We only met them as they were finishing, and we were on the widest part of the trail-not a problem. The rest of the trail was quiet and beautiful as we enjoyed the huge trees and ferns...and lack of rain! It was a beautiful day for a hike in the forest with great company. Hikers were Roz Shirack, Sumon Montri and leader Debra Dawes.
